Our webpages have been in the internet from the 90's and the server that the pages have been served have been handed over in telephone/ISP company changes over the years. We have an agreement with someone, over hosting our website, and we think that we pay someone of it. No one has seen the bill for years, or hasnt registered it, but the pages work. We bought a few more domains to route to our site and we asked the company that sold the domains to route them for us.
Ok, the IP address was ok, but they went to a different site in the same IP address. We asked the company whats the deal with it and they said that contact company "A" for the problem. We contacted and they said that the page isnt hosted by them. Ok, we called the company that creates and maintains our website, they didnt know where our page was hosted. After a while we contacted company "B" and they found out that we had had some kind of an agreement, but it was 2 company fusions before and no one knows about those agreements anymore, or wants to agree that such agreements were made back then.
Well then we contacted our webpage maintainer on what to do and they asked the domain company to route the new domains to their server, where they would reroute the pages to be seen.
Where the f* is our webpage hosted, and who hosts them? Great IT-world.
